CHARLESTON, West Virginia — Gasoline prices fell 7 cents in West Virginia this week.

AAA East Central says the average price for a gallon of regular was $3.61. That's about a nickel less per gallon compared with the same week a year ago.

Prices range from about $3.41 in Huntington to almost $3.73 in Morgantown.

Nationally, gas prices average $3.52 this week, down about 5 cents from the previous week.

Officials say U.S. refineries running near their highest rates since 2005 and domestic demand has dropped, driving prices lower.
