DECATUR, Alabama — Authorities say they've captured an inmate accused of escaping from a work-release center in northern Alabama.

Al.com reports (http://bit.ly/1yhiBrX) that 29-year-old Blake Mitchell Turner was taken into custody Thursday morning after authorities said he had been on the loose for about eight hours. Details of the arrest were not immediately released.

The Alabama Department of Corrections said in a statement earlier Thursday that correctional officers at the Decatur Work Release Center early Thursday morning reported that Turner could not be located.

Authorities say Turner had been incarcerated for property theft in a Cullman County case.
