16 W.Va. school choirs to perform at state Culture Center in Charleston on Saturday

CHARLESTON, West Virginia — Sixteen school choirs from across West Virginia will perform this weekend at the state Culture Center in Charleston.

The First Lady's Festival of Songs will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Each choir will conduct a 15-minute performance. The event is free and open to the public.

The choirs include: Preston High School, Hannan Junior/Senior High School, Cabell Midland High School, Shady Spring Middle School, Nitro High School, Horace Mann Middle School, Princeton Senior High School, Buckhannon-Upshur High School, Elkins High School, Nicholas County High School, Woodrow Wilson High School, Philip Barbour High School, Appalachian Children's Chorus, Mingo Central Comprehensive High School, Cabell Midland High School and Capital High School.
