Police investigate several overnight shootings in Syracuse; no suspects identified


SYRACUSE, New York — Police in Syracuse are investigating several shooting incidents overnight.

At 10:15 p.m. Saturday, witnesses tell police a man fired about seven shots in front of a store on East Fayette Street. The man ran off. Police say no injuries were reported.

An hour later, a 33-year-old man driving a Dodge Caravan was grazed by a bullet when shots were fired at his vehicle. He was unable to provide information about any suspect.

Shortly before 12:30 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 81 northbound near the Court Street exit, police say someone in a gray sedan shot at a vehicle driven by a 25-year-old man. Two windows were broken but the driver and his three passengers were unharmed.

Two hours later, officers investigated shots fired on Fitch Street. They found five shell casings but no suspects.
