ATLANTA — The Braves have trimmed six players from their spring training roster, including top prospect Jose Peraza.

Peraza, regarded as the team's future starting second baseman, was optioned Monday to Triple-A Gwinnett. Peraza had only one hit in 16 at-bats in spring training games.

Right-hander Tyrell Jenkins, who was acquired with Shelby Miller as part of the Nov. 17 trade that sent outfielder Jason Heyward to St. Louis, was optioned to Double-A Mississippi. Right-hander Mauricio Cabrera and left-hander Yean Carlos Gil were optioned to Class A Carolina.

Left-hander Brady Feigl and catcher Jose Yepez were reassigned to the team's minor league camp.
