It happened at 8:50 p.m. Sunday in West Babylon.

Suffolk County police say Aramis Broadus was driving on Little East Neck Road when he lost control of the car and struck a telephone pole and a house.

The 19-year-old driver and three of his passengers were taken to a hospital.

One of the passengers, 17-year-old Kenya Jimenez of Deer Park, died from her injuries.

The other two passengers were treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Broadus was treated for minor injuries and released.

The residence sustained extensive damage and was condemned. No one inside was injured.
