ARLINGTON, Texas — Senior Mitchell Parsley threw four touchdown passes, ran for two more and returned an interception for a score as Crowell trampled May 62-16 on Saturday to repeat as Class 1A Division I six-man champion.

Crowell scored on eight of its nine possessions, facing just one third down in the first half. Backup quarterback Tristen Hayes hit Tyler Durham on a 4-yard touchdown pass on Crowell's first possession of the third quarter to end the game on a 45-point mercy rule.

Parsley, who finished 9-of-13 passing for 172 yards, was the offensive MVP for the second consecutive year, accounting for 13 touchdowns in Crowell's back-to-back state titles. Crowell (14-0) defeated May 78-52 in last year's title game.

Isaac Williams threw an 18-yard touchdown pass to Zach Davis and caught an 11-yard score from Gage Freeland for May's only two scores. Davis led May with 31 yards rushing on nine carries.

After May (12-3) cut Crowell's lead to 32-16 midway through the second quarter, Crowell scored 24 points to end the half, including a 16-yard tipped touchdown pass from Parsley to Joey Taylor as time expired.

Crowell's Nathan Moya caught touchdown passes of 32 and 30 yards in the first quarter, finishing with a game-high 81 yards receiving.
