SAN DIEGO — Thomas Jacobs scored 14 points and grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds to lead San Diego to an 82-46 victory Thursday night over San Diego Christian.
Jacobs scored eight of his points in the first half while San Diego ended the first half on a 29-6 run. Jacobs led four Toreros in double figures. Johnny Dee, who averages a team-high 18 point per game, was 5 of 8 from the floor for 11 points. Duda Sanadze had 12 points, and Jito Kok added 10.
The Toreros (5-0) are one win away from their best start in school history since joining NCAA Division I in 1979-80.
Andy Saharan led San Diego Christian with 14 points, but shot just 3 of 11 from the floor.
The game was part of the Gulf Coast Showcase, and counts as an exhibition for San Diego Christian, an NAIA school.
