1 found dead in house fire in Fairfax


FAIRFAX, Vermont — Vermont State Police say one person is dead following a house fire in the town of Fairfax.

Police say two people were in the home late Friday night when the fire broke out but only one was able to escape safely.

Police have not yet released the name of the victim.

Investigators say the fire was accidental and the death does not appear to be suspicious.
