Bozeman man struck by vehicle while crossing road, hospitalized in Billings

BOZEMAN, Montana — A 55-year-old Bozeman man was injured when he was struck by a vehicle while crossing a four-lane road in a spot without a crosswalk or traffic lights.

Bozeman Police Capt. Steve Crawford says the man was injured just after 7 p.m. Sunday while trying to cross Huffine Lane. KWYB-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1y6hcEm) the victim was initially treated at the Bozeman hospital and later transferred to a Billings hospital, where he was in serious condition on Monday.

Crawford says the vehicle that struck the man was traveling at the 45 mph speed limit for the area.

The name of the injured man hasn't been released and police are still investigating.
