Oklahoma blasts Arkansas-Little Rock 22-0, Sooners' Aiken sets school hit record

NORMAN, Oklahoma — Oklahoma center fielder Craig Aikin set a school record for hits in a game as the Sooners rolled past Arkansas-Little Rock 22-0 in Norman.

Aikin had six hits and drove in six runs during Tuesday's game and OU collected 23 as a team while five OU pitchers combined to shut out the Trojans on five hits. Right-hander Corey Copping went five innings and struck out seven to improve to 2-0 on the season.

Aiken, shortstop Sheldon Neuse and catcher Chris Shaw all homered for OU. Neuse drove in five runs for the Sooners and Shaw drove home three more.

Oklahoma improves to 10-5 on the season while UALR falls to 3-5.
