EVERETT, Washington — The Snohomish County medical examiner's office says a 51-year-old woman who died at the Snohomish County Jail in July died of natural causes.
The office said Tuesday that contributing factors included probable alcohol withdrawal and alcoholic ketoacidosis, an imbalance in the blood associated with problem drinking.
The Daily Herald reports (http://is.gd/xwhgMX ) that Kathleen Ann Swann-Deutsch, of Woodinville, tested at nearly four times the legal blood alcohol limit when she was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving on July 24.
A Snohomish County sheriff's office investigation into her death is finishing up. Detectives have been awaiting autopsy results.
