Palm Beach County deputy shoots, kills suspect during fight

LOXAHATCHEE, Fla. — A Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputy shot a man during a fight in Loxahatchee.

Authorities say 24-year-old Seth Adams died early Thursday after undergoing surgery at St. Mary's Medical Center.

Sheriff's spokeswoman Teri Barbera told the Palm Beach Post (http://bit.ly/JKgILZ ) the deputy came across Adams shortly before midnight and the "encounter became physical." She says the deputy was in fear of his life when he fired the weapon, hitting Adams in the torso.
