MONROE, Louisiana — A Monroe woman is facing a second-degree murder charge after police say she allegedly struck her boyfriend and his father with a car, killing the father.

The News-Star reports (http://tnsne.ws/1f0dCWT) Markeda Porter and her boyfriend got into an argument Sunday night while inside a vehicle.

Police say the boyfriend got out of the car and was struck by the passenger door.

They say Porter then drove the vehicle forward through a driveway gate and struck her boyfriend and his father.

The father, Larry Johnson, was treated at a nearby hospital and later died from his injuries. The son suffered minor injuries.

It was unclear whether Porter has an attorney.
