SHREVPORT, Louisiana — A three-vehicle crash near Shreveport claimed the life of a 23-year-old woman and sent seven others, including four children, to area hospitals.
The accident happened about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 9000 block of Woolworth Road, near Walnut Hill Middle School. Two vehicles collided and a third one flipped, sliding 500 feet.
Authorities tell The Times (http://bit.ly/11Y855o ) Joanne Dixon was airlifted to LSU Hospital in Shreveport where she later died.
The crash remains under investigation.
