VAN BUREN, Arkansas — An Arkansas man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for killing his 75-year-old father with a shotgun.

The Southwest Times Record reports (http://bit.ly/1C1eqV0 ) 55-year-old Eddie Hice received the punishment after pleading guilty to second-degree murder on Wednesday. He also pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm and was given 20 years of probation on that charge. The sentences will run consecutively.
