Ark. man accused of trafficking at least 2 women, allegedly forcing them into prostitution


BATON ROUGE, Louisiana — East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff's deputies have arrested a 22-year-old fugitive accused of trafficking at least two women and possibly others from out of state to Baton Rouge, allegedly forcing them into prostitution

The Advocate reports ( ) investigators first learned of Emmanuel Bailey's operation in March when authorities arrested a woman for prostitution at a hotel, only to learn she had been brought to Louisiana by Bailey.

The arrest warrant says the woman said Bailey forced her and another woman into prostitution the week before in Kansas using, a claim detectives verified by finding her ads on the website.

Bailey, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, was booked Tuesday on counts of human trafficking.

It was unclear whether he has an attorney.
