Utica police seek driver of red pickup truck after pedestrian dies of injuries


UTICA, New York — Police in Utica are looking for the driver of a vehicle that struck a pedestrian who later died at a hospital.

Officers were called to the scene of an accident around 10:50 p.m. Saturday and found a badly injured pedestrian at Burrstone Road and Sunset Avenue.

The injured person died shortly after being transported to a hospital. The victim's name hasn't been released.

Police are asking anyone who saw the accident or saw a red pickup truck believed to have been involved to call investigators.
