Kahron Ross scored a career-high 24 points with 6 assists as Lehigh beat Bucknell 80-65 Wednesday night


LEWISBURG, Pennsylvania — Kahron Ross scored a career-high 24 points with six assists as Lehigh beat Bucknell 80-65 Wednesday night.

Ross was 10 of 15 from the field for the Mountain Hawks (10-14, 8-5 Patriot League). Tim Kempton added 23 points and 12 rebounds, Austin Price had 16 points and five steals and Kyle Leufroy chipped in 12 points with eight rebounds, four assists and two steals.

The Mountain Hawks started the game on a 15-4 run and never trailed. A Ross layup put them up by 26 points, 41-15, with 6:10 to go before halftime and they had a 45-29 advantage at the break.

Ross, Price and Kempton each hit a 3-pointer early in the second half and Lehigh led 58-40 with 15:20 to go. Bucknell didn't get closer than nine points after that.

Zach Thomas scored 17 points and grabbed six rebounds for the Bison (13-11, 10-3).
