CINCINNATI — The National Weather Service has confirmed that two weak tornadoes briefly touched down in southwestern Ohio during storms that rolled through the region.
Weather Service meteorologist Myron Padgett says the tornadoes touched down Tuesday night near Lebanon in Warren County north of Cincinnati. The Weather Service's preliminary report rated the tornadoes as EF0, the lowest rating on the scale measuring such force. Padgett says estimated wind speeds were up to 80 miles per hour. No injuries were reported.
A lightning strike is blamed for destroying a home with two luxury cars in Butler County's Liberty Township. There were no injuries, but a fire official says losses could reach $1 million.
Flooding in the Mill Creek area north of Cincinnati damaged vehicles and goods at some businesses. No estimates were available.
