MARIETTA, Georgia — Cobb County prosecutors say a convicted child molester has been sentenced to more than 20 years in prison.

District Attorney's spokeswoman Kim Isaza said in a statement Tuesday that 46-year-old Johannes VanStaden has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for sex acts with three girls between 3 and 7 years old between 2012 and 2013.

VanStaden pleaded guilty to aggravated child molestation, child molestation, enticing a child for indecent purposes and simple battery.

VanStaden has been held without bond since January 2013 and will spend life on probation after his sentence.
