MONROE, Louisiana — The Monroe City School Board will hold a special meeting to finalize its contract with superintendent-elect Brent Vidrine.
The News-Star reports (http://tnsne.ws/10LH3hu ) the item was originally on the agenda for Tuesday's meeting, but attorney Doug Lawrence told board members he received additional information from board members on Tuesday that needed to be considered.
Contract committee member Rodney McFarland said there are "only two paragraphs that need tweaking."
McFarland asked Vidrine, who was seated in the audience, if he agreed that "everything is fine" with the contract.
Vidrine nodded agreement. Board Vice President Mickey Traweek said both Vidrine and his attorney had already seen the contract and returned it to Lawrence.
The contract meeting, for final approval, is set for 9 a.m. Friday.
