Cannonball man accused of kicking victim, causing injuries pleads guilty to assault charge


BISMARCK, North Dakota — A Cannonball man has pleaded guilty to a federal assault charge.

Authorities say 40-year-old Dustin Lester caused injuries to the victim by kicking her. The incident happened on Dec. 27.

The charge of assault with a dangerous weapon carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.

Sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 31 in Bismarck.
