MURRAY, Kentucky — Wayne Langston scored 24 points to lead Murray State to a 68-58 win over Eastern Illinois on Thursday night.

Jeffery Moss and Gee McGhee had 10 apiece with McGhee hitting 3 of 5 behind the arc for the Racers (9-10, 3-3 Ohio Valley). Langston finished 10 of 13 from the field.

A.J. Riley was just 1 of 10 from the field but went 9 of 11 from the line to lead Eastern Illinois (6-13, 3-4) with 11 points.

Murray State made 5 of 10 3s and shot 54 percent (15 of 28) in the first half to take a 42-29 lead. Eastern Illinois closed the first half on an 8-0 run after being doubled up, 42-21 by the Racers.

The Panthers opened the second half with a surge that cut the deficit to nine but Langston answered with consecutive baskets and the lead stayed in double figures.
