Nick Swisher back in Cleveland lineup after missing 3 games with sore shoulder

CLEVELAND — Nick Swisher has returned to the Cleveland Indians' lineup after missing three games because of a sore left shoulder.

He is the designated hitter and is batting fourth Saturday against Minnesota.

Swisher hasn't played since Monday. He missed the two-game series against Philadelphia and the Indians had an off-day Thursday. He was out again Friday but took batting practice.

Swisher is hitting .265 with two homers and nine RBIs. He started the first 23 games — 12 at first base, six in right field and five as the DH. He signed a four-year, $56 million contract with the Indians in January.
