MARIETTA, Georgia — Fire officials are investigating a deadly blaze in a mobile home park northwest of Atlanta.

Authorities say one person died in the fire late Sunday night at the Fair Oaks Mobile Home Park on Atlanta Road in the Marietta area of Cobb County.

Cobb County fire spokeswoman Denell Boyd says the fire was reported shortly before 11 p.m. Sunday.

Boyd said firefighters arriving four minutes later were told that a man was still inside. She said that after making a "fast attack" and suppressing the flames, firefighters found the person dead.

Boyd tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (http://on-ajc.com/1zeI6K4) that the blaze is believed to have started in the bedroom where the dead person was found.
