Lamar uses free throw line to hold off Arkansas State 63-58

JONESBORO, Arkansas — Tyran de Lattibeaudiere scored 12 points and grabbed seven boards and Lamar held off Arkansas State from the free throw line in the final minute to preserve a 63-58 win on Tuesday night.

Anthony Livingston made a pair of free throws with 1:47 left in the game to pull Arkansas State within three, 61-58, and the score stayed there until Anthony Holliday drained a free throw with :13 left for the Cardinals. Preston Mattingly added the first of two free throws with a second left to play for the final margin.

Holliday added 11 points as Lamar (2-3) shot 24 of 53 from the field (45.3 percent).

Livingstone tossed in 16 points on 6 of 8 shooting from the field to lead the Red Wolves (0-2). Cameron Golden added 13 points and Sean Gardner contributed another 11.
