SHREVEPORT, Louisiana — A former employee of a Minden loan company has been arrested by the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office for making fraudulent loans and keeping the money for herself.
Sheriff Steve Prator says 27-year-old Tanshmemekia Harris, of Minden, was booked with theft Monday into the Caddo Correctional Center.
Prator says Harris came under suspicion when company officials noticed a shortage in her cash drawer. The manager conducted an audit of Harris' recent activity and discovered 13 fraudulent loans totaling $4,950.
Sheriff's Detective Doug Smith obtained a warrant for Harris, and she was arrested. It was not immediately known if she's represented by an attorney.
