1B Nick Swisher out of Cleveland's lineup because of shoulder injury

CLEVELAND — Indians first baseman Nick Swisher is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Washington because of a sore left shoulder,

Swisher said after Saturday's game that the injury was affecting his swing and he will talk with the team's training staff. It's possible he could go on the disabled list. Swisher missed time earlier this season because of his shoulder.

He is in a 6-for-55 skid, with his average dropping to .237. He has seven homers and 24 RBIs.

Swisher was one of the Indians' key offseason additions, signing a four-year, $56 million contract in January.
