Police said Tuesday that 72-year-old Chu Tze Sawyer of Norfolk was a passenger in a minivan that collided with the school bus while attempting to cross a road. The minivan then hit a pickup truck stopped at a stop sign and slid through a metal fence.

The accident occurred Friday afternoon.
