BEND, Oregon — Oregon State Police say one student received a minor injury when a school bus slid off a road west of Bend.

Authorities say six students and a driver were on the bus when it slid off an embankment Saturday morning, rolled twice and came to rest against some trees about 50 feed from the road.

KTVZ reports the bus was traveling on a snow-packed road carrying the cross-country skiing team from Crook County High School. The station reports a 16-year-old boy had cuts on the back of his head.

Authorities say the student was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Bend.
