Leesville woman dies, DeRidder woman hurt in crash in Beauregard Parish

DERIDDER, Louisiana — State police say a 27-year-old Leesville woman died over the weekend in a two-vehicle crash in Beauregard Parish.

The accident happened early Saturday morning at the intersection of La. Highway 26 and Three Pine Church Road southeast of DeRidder.

Troopers say Reanna Knox was southbound on Three Pines Church Road when ran through a stop sign. Her SUV struck a westbound car driven by 43-year-old Richard Rangel, of Leesville.

Investigators say Knox's SUV rolled over, partially ejecting her from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers say Rangel sustained minor injuries. A passenger in his car, 47-year-old Leisha Irvin, of DeRidder, suffered moderate injuries.
