PHOENIX — The U.S. Marshals Service says a man wanted in Phoenix for allegedly sexually abusing a minor was caught thanks to Mexican authorities.

U.S. Marshal David Gonzales of the Arizona District said Saturday that 45-year-old James Kroll is being held in Pima County Jail, awaiting extradition to Maricopa County.

Gonzalez says Mexican officials located Kroll on Thursday based on information from U.S. authorities and deported him through the Lukeville Port of Entry.

Authorities issued a warrant July 8 for his arrest.

They say Kroll is accused of committing numerous indecent sexual acts with a 13-year-old between 2008 and 2010 in Phoenix.

He faces charges of luring a minor for sexual exploitation, furnishing obscene or harmful items to minors, and sexual indecency to a minor.
