4 hurt when car, Amish buggy collide on Mohawk Valley road; 3 men, 1 woman taken to hospital

AMSTERDAM, New York — Police say four people have been injured in a crash involving a car and a horse and buggy traveling on a Mohawk Valley road.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office tells local media that the crash occurred around 4 p.m. Tuesday on Route 161 in Amsterdam, 30 miles northwest of Albany.

Deputies say three Amish men in the buggy and the woman driving the car were taken to a hospital. Details of their injuries haven't been released.

The horse was also injured.
