BILLINGS, Montana — A 43-year-old Billings man has pleaded not guilty to deliberate homicide in the 2013 shooting death of his neighbor

Patrick O. Neiss also pleaded not guilty Thursday to tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.

Frank Greene III was found dead outside his home on March 8, 2013. The Billings Gazette reports (http://bit.ly/1sHcr3O ) he was shot three times, including a close shot to the back of his head.

The two men shared a property line and court records document an ongoing dispute between them.

Investigators have not found the gun used to shoot Greene but say they found shell casings at Greene's home fired by the same gun as shell casings discovered at Neiss' home.

District Judge Mary Jane McCalla Knisely kept Neiss' bond at $500,000.
