Shreveport man booked with second-degree murder in shooting death of woman


SHREVEPORT, Louisiana — Police say a 41-year-old Shreveport man has been arrested in the shooting death of a woman.

KSLA TV reports ( ) Anton Cooley was booked Monday night with second-degree murder in the death of 41-year-old Karen Johnson.

Officers were first called to a home in west Shreveport for a report of shots fired in the area. When they arrived, witnesses told police that they heard a woman screaming and then at least one gunshot.

Police say the woman's body was discovered in the driveway.

It was unclear whether Cooley has an attorney.
