Police: Man shot, wounded in Apache Junction altercation between neighbors


APACHE JUNCTION, Arizona — Apache Junction police say a man is in custody following the wounding of another man during a dispute between neighbors.

Police Chief Tom Kelly said the wounded man was shot in the lower back and taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Kelly said another man was taken into custody following the Wednesday morning shooting.

The altercation happened on the property line between their two homes.

The nature of the dispute isn't known, and no other details were immediately available.
