6 injured when boat hits 7 Mile Bridge in Florida Keys


MARATHON, Florida — Six people were injured when their boat crashed into pilings of the Seven Mile Bridge in the Florida Keys.

The crash happened about 7:45 p.m. Sunday near Marathon.

Monroe County Sheriff's spokeswoman Becky Herrin says three people were airlifted to a hospital in Miami and the others were taken to Fisherman's Hospital in Marathon.

The boat was towed to Sunset Grille in Marathon.

No further details were immediately available.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is investigating.
