Man dies in Somersworth house fire Friday; cause of fire under investigation

SOMERSWORTH, New Hampshire — A man has died in a house fire in the New Hampshire town of Somersworth.

The fire was reported shortly before 6 p.m. Friday.

Firefighters found the man on the second floor. The fire chief says they pulled him out of the home and attempted to perform CPR but he did not survive.

The man's name has been released.

Officials say 10 people lived in the home.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
