Lucas scores 2 penalties as PSG beats Bordeaux 3-0 to move into 2nd place in French league

PARIS — Brazilian Lucas scored with two penalties and fellow winger Ezequiel Lavezzi capped his return from injury with a late goal as Paris Saint-Germain beat Bordeaux 3-0 Saturday to move into outright second place in the French league.

After both sides had a player sent off for straight red cards, Lucas scored his first penalty in first-half injury time and added the second shortly after the break.

Lavezzi, who has been out for a month with a hamstring injury, pounced with a volley from midfielder Blaise Matuidi's cross in the 81st minute after coming off the bench.

Two-time defending champion PSG remains undefeated and is four points behind leader Marseille, which goes to play fourth-place Lyon on Sunday.

Bordeaux is three points PSG in third place.
