CHARLESTON, West Virginia — Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin has appointed Jason Pizatella as the acting secretary of the Department of Administration.

Pizatella had been serving as Tomblin's chief of staff and director of legislative affairs.

The Fairmont native has also worked as the state Department of Revenue's acting secretary, deputy state tax commissioner and as counsel to the State Senate Committee on Government Organization and Committee on Finance.

Before working in state government, Pizatella was an attorney with Spilman, Thomas and Battle, PLLC in Charleston.

Tomblin announced the move in a news release Tuesday.

Pizatella replaces Secretary Ross Taylor, who will serve as comptroller within the department's Division of Finance.
