Brewers activate INF Jeff Bianchi from 15-day disabled list

MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Brewers have activated infielder Jeff Bianchi from the 15-day disabled list.

The Brewers made the move Thursday. A day earlier, they sent outfielder Khris Davis to Triple-A Nashville.

The 25-year-old Bianchi started the season on the disabled list after dealing with a case of bursitis in his left hip. During a 15-game rehab assignment with Double-A Huntsville and Triple-A Nashville, Bianchi hit .250 with a home run and seven RBIs.

Bianchi played 33 games for Milwaukee last season, hitting .188 with three home runs.

The Brewers are expected to make another move Friday when third baseman Aramis Ramirez is likely to come off the 15-day DL.
