Authorities searching for 20-year-old inmate missing from South Dakota State Penitentiary

SIOUX FALLS, South Dakota — The state Department of Corrections and local law enforcement agencies are searching for a 20-year-old inmate missing from a prison in Sioux Falls.

Skyler Culp walked away from a minimum-security unit at the South Dakota State Penitentiary on Thursday evening. He's serving 10-year and 8-year sentences concurrently in connection with grand theft auto in Yankton County.

Culp is a white male with brown hair and blue eyes. He is 6-feet-1 inches tall and weighs about 218 pounds.

Authorities are urging anyone who sees Culp or knows of his whereabouts to contact them immediately.
