Date for 2013 New Orleans Bowl set for Dec. 21 in Superdome

NEW ORLEANS — New Orleans Bowl officials say the date for the 2013 edition of the bowl game has been set for Dec. 21 at 8 p.m. local time.

The bowl game currently has agreements to match bowl eligible teams from the Sun Belt Conference and Conference USA.

The Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns of the Sun Belt Conference have won the past two New Orleans Bowls, defeating East Carolina of Conference USA last December.

The bowl game is now entering its 13th season.
