MILAN — French league co-top scorer Andre-Pierre Gignac has indicated he plans to leave Marseille after this season.

Gignac's contract is up in June, and he tells the Gazzetta dello Sport, "As a kid I dreamed of becoming a professional with Marseille but now I'm pretty much thinking that at the end of the season I'll leave. ... I'm looking for new, top-profile challenges."

With 11 goals, Gignac tops the Ligue 1 scoring chart with Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette.

The 28-year-old Gignac joined Marseille from Toulouse in 2010 and initially struggled. But he led Marseille with 16 league goals last season, and has 65 in 193 games in all competitions for the club.

Gignac fueled speculation he might join Inter Milan, saying "It would be a great (opportunity)."
