BOISE, Idaho — Idaho's unemployment rate fell slightly in August to 4.7 percent — a drop of about a tenth of a percent.

Idaho Department of Labor officials say that shows the state is resuming its nearly four year downward trend in unemployment rates.

The Idaho Statesman (bit.ly/1yjs4lr) reports July saw a slight uptick with unemployment climbing about a tenth of a percent, but that was the first increase since the spring of 2010.

In all, Idaho added 1,500 new jobs in August.
