Man accused of deer hunting violations in Franklin Parish; 2 headless animals dumped in Sept.

WINNSBORO, Louisiana — A Richland Parish man has been accused of committing deer hunting violations in Franklin Parish.

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries said in a news release Friday that 32-year-old Frederick W. Fudickar Jr. of Delhi has been charged with taking deer during a closed season, criminal trespassing and criminal damage to property.

Authorities say Fudickar has admitted to killing two bucks on Sept. 21 and dumping them beside the adjoining landowners deer stand. Deer season in Franklin Parish didn't open until October.

Charges of taking deer during a closed season and criminal damage to property each carry the possibility of a six-month jail sentence.
