CITRA, Florida — Authorities say a CSX train struck and killed a woman in north Florida.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office reports that it received a call shortly after midnight.

A CSX Corp. spokeswoman says the train was traveling about 60 mph through Citra, hauling mixed freight to Jacksonville.

A conductor said he began blowing the train's horn when the woman was about 200 yards ahead of the train, but she did not move from the track.

The Ocala Star-Banner (http://goo.gl/uQ0EvK) reports that authorities were still trying to confirm the woman's identity.
