LONDON, Kentucky — Investigators are asking for the public's help in solving a double homicide that left a Laurel County couple dead and their home in flames three months ago.

WKYT-TV (http://bit.ly/1GbjOSw ) reports that Donnie and Sharon Jackson were found shot dead in their home on March 8 in the county's Lily community, about 10 miles south of London.

Laurel County Sheriff's Deputy Gilbert Acciardo says the killer tried to cover up the crime by setting fire to the couple's trailer.

Acciardo says investigators need new tips from the public to solve the crime. He says no witnesses have come forward and no arrests have been made.

The reward for the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for double slaying is set at $10,000.
