St. Louis area man arrested on warrants for 21 felony charges, including murder

FLORISSANT, Mo. — A man suspected of 21 felony crimes, including home invasion and murder, has been arrested in St. Louis County.

Police say 26-year-old Michael Fedrick of St. Louis was arrested Thursday at a motel in Florissant. Tips from the public led to the arrest.

Authorities say Fedrick and 25-year-old Russell Battle of St. Louis broke into a Venice, Ill., home in December to commit a robbery and became involved in a gun fight with two occupants. The two occupants were hurt and Battle died in the exchange.

Fedrick was also wanted for other crimes, including first-degree murder. He is jailed on $1 million bond and does not yet have an attorney.
